Still a busy bee… January 4, 2008

So I have totally been procrastinating doing a TON of things since I received my new sewing machine and book reader (read: no work has been done on the house and I still have not sent out the Vietnam Culture swap that I said I would do the same day I got the machine). The embroidery thread finally came (see below picture) BUT I am still waiting on the prefilled bobbins to do any MAJOR work. I did try the embroidery features out the other day BEFORE I received the thread (see pictures of that below). As soon as I get the prefilled bobbins I will do some things that require more colors and promise pictures for all. Before I do that though, I have promised myself that I will finish the Vietnamese Culture Swap (because I am going to be the last one to mail if I am not careful and I am beginning to feel VERY guilty - read: I need you all to hold me to this one and ask if I got it done until I admit I finally got it done).

Today at lunch, Aaron and I saw two of the cutest little two year old girls adopted from China (we think - I still have not got over my fear of asking even though I would ask for all the right reasons, I think anyway!) and they were SOOO cute! I looked at him and said can I order those at the counter! He laughed and said no problem :) It was cute but really all I could think about was our adoption and how I am trying to be REALLY patient and really am totally the opposite and how I want everything to happen in the snap of the fingers. It is not that simple is it? Is anything that simple? I cannot imagine being in the same shoes of those waiting for their I600 approval, I just might be a MAJOR basket case. I am not sure how they are all remaining so calm. So I want lessons when I get that far!

Oh yeah and 173 more days! So I leave you with the promised pictures!

Adoption is definitely a roller coaster!

The embroidery looks great. I especially like the Mickey :)

Wow! I’m so jealous of you embroidery skills! You mentioned in a previous post that you might start embroidering onesies…mind if I keep that in mind for our little guy?
