Today was a comedy of errors….
I was supposed to be up and out the door by 7:30 a.m. and I was so exhausted that I slept through the alarm for well over an hour and missed something that could have benefited me professionally (fortunately it was not required but would have been really nice). Then I got to work and had one of my divorce cases go awry, complete with hearing later in the morning. After an hour at the court house – I came home to make some desserts for bible study tonight and run the Scooba in the dining room. When I arrived home I started cooking and realized that one of our rabbits was not moving – since I have an aversion to anything deceased (weird I know – but I was exactly the same way on the farm growing up)- I decided to wait for Aaron to arrive to say yeah or nay about the rabbit. So I realized that I started with the WRONG dessert and would have to just finish it and do the other one later to be finished tonight in the hour I would have before bible study. Aaron arrives home and after I convince him to go check on the rabbits – he comes back and indicates that I was correct Lilo is deceased. (I was upset but he lived a great 5 years and was a joy while he was around, maybe tomorrow I will tell about when we got him that is the cutest story!) So then Aaron decides to try to dig a hole and bury him – the ground is so frozen that he bend the shovel…now I don’t know what to do. We realize the Scooba will have to be run AGAIN in the dining room as it was that bad. (During this time, I cleaned out our refrigerator – can I say I am not sure how but there were things in there with an expiration date of 2004 – we have bought a new fridge since then so I am not sure how that happened. And talk about empty….lord now we really need groceries…) So now two hours after I get home I go back to work where I realize that I will be there for an hour before I am BACK to court and then on to a meeting that will last for at least an hour and a half. Court was so simple we should have called and continued it on our own – oh well and then the meeting took forever. I got home and was able to start some of the things that needed done but when Scooba was done we had a clean dining room floor which was nice. But I realized that our floors need to be resealed – they are not bad but should be done. I finally got to talk to John and Jessica again as things finally straightened out again and it was dinner before bible study time again! (I was very excited about that!) John offered to help Aaron dig the hole but Aaron claims it should be warmer tomorrow and he will try again then. When all the other couples arrive, we have a short what will we do next meeting and dig into all the desserts that everyone brought! It was great just chatting with everyone and hanging out! (But now it is back to me to lead Aaron is done!) Finally I log on and find over 50 new blog posts on Google reader to catch up on and comment on – I wrote this after I was done with all that!
Whew – wow I didn’t even realize that it was that crazy today! Ok so I am grateful today that I have such great friends who we met with every week and can talk about anything with – no matter what! It is so much fun to see them and have them around! I love being able to watch them grow and succeed! It will be so much fun to have them around for a long time to come! I need to come up with a way to show that I care for them and am grateful for everything they bring to the table when we met – even if I do not always agree with them!

Wow that is a crazy day! I hope today goes more smoothly for you.
Yes, that was a very full day. I want a Scooba. Do you think it is bad for your wood floors?
What a day!!! Sorry about the bunny. That sucks. But I’m glad you had 5 great years with him.
Awww sorry about your rabbit… but don’t you love your Scooba? That is my favorite invention next to jelly beans.
sorry to hear about Lilo! It’s awesome that you have such great friends–I am sure that they feel lucky to have you in their lives as well…no special celebration required
Sorry to hear about Lilo. I will always remember him stomping his foot at us! He was a funny bunny. How about more puppy pictures?
So sorry about Lilo- it is always hard to lose a pet. You had a crazy day but handled it with your usual grace and style!
What a crazy day!! I would almost laugh just because it was so crazy except the loss of your bunny is terrible. I’m so sorry, but glad you enjoyed him for five years. Here’s to a much easier day tomorrow… *hugs*
Sorry about your bunny. I hope tomorrow is a little more low key…
Too Bad about Lilo!
I’m sorry about your bunny! Gosh you have crazy days sometimes! But you appear to handle them with grace
So sorry to read about your bunny. That would not be a fun way to come home.
You write wonderfully and I can almost feel the insanity of the day. What a blessing to end your crazy day in the Word and surrounded by friends.
[...] February: Started out with a Snow Day and then on Super Bowl Sunday one of our dogs was lost again and found the next morning under the kitchen sink (oh if only all lost things could be found that easily!)Apparently I continued the Manic Monday for at least part of February…because I had a Grand Opening for my Etsy store. (Ok since I am going back through the posts and doing this year in review I am about to DIE of laughter…) I apparently started praying that we would be referred a GIRL (up until that point all I wanted was a boy period). I wrote my most viewed post about Psoriasis and started a Korea Blogroll – my most viewed page! I also talked about how I was involved in an adoption when I was in college – one of my college roommates gave her baby up for adoption and for some reason I was a massive part of it. Aaron’s step-grandfater passed and has been missed by all. I even FINALLY received my Scooba and it worked and I fell totally in love…oh when Christmas gifts go awry! The year of losing pets would begin by losing one of our original rabbits. [...]
