First, we are home. We are safe. We are happy. And finally we are tired!
Second, thank you for all the comments, e-mails, phone calls, voice mail and text messages, gifts, meals and support over the last few days! I love each and everyone of you and I will get around to responding to comments, e-mails, voice mail etc…I promise. What I will not get around to is commenting on the 400+ posts in my google reader (it took the whole week to figure out which button to push to get it from Korean to English – and trust me I missed you all!), I promise to read and I promise after today to start commenting again!
So updates on the Little Man and the Diva – they are growing and changing every day but we have found that they fit best in 9 mo size pants – a problem as we had precious few pairs of those (as in less than 3 and all but one for the Diva). So today we went to Target (it took 2 hours to get ready and out the door but we accomplished it!) and got five pairs of pants that they can share EXCEPT the pink pair. So maybe Little Man will walk one day soon! And boy Little Man and the Diva are smart. The Diva figured out how make her squeaker shoes squeak without walking on them, and boy does she love to hear them squeak. The Little Man has learned that a smile will get him out of just about any trouble (and well as when the camera clicks to make that smile go away). Both are becoming the best little people and Little Man is stronger than strong! They both blow kisses which is TOO cute! Oh yeah and Little Man LOVES the laptop, as in would be helping me type if he could!
Our biggest issue right now is sleep schedules. Their foster mom said they had one prior to us taking custody, but we have not seen it at all. The last two night they have went down by 11 p.m. but by 3 a.m. they are up until about 5 a.m. - hanging out with us in our bed, while we read Dr. Seuss and play. They both LOVE to be read to fortunately and also LOVE Dr. Seuss. Then they sleep until 1 p.m. – tomorrow Aaron and I are going to try something new. We have set a schedule for the Diva’s medicine and we are setting an alarm clock to keep it…both Little Man and the Diva will be woke up by 10 a.m. for many reasons, Aaron and I may not get much sleep but to get them on a schedule will be worth it. Our biggest problem with sleep is that Little Man grieves then and fights sleep for over an hour by screaming as if we are hurting him. We love on him and eventually he goes to sleep but it makes me so sad. The Diva grieves too but no where near as bad as the little man.
For those wondering, we LOVE the cloth diapers! They have worked so well! I have also started making sure we have enough bottles on hand, running the dishwasher every night and in general see myself becoming more of a homemaker!
Here is what you are really here for:

Welcome home!! Hope that getting the schedules turned around happens quickly. That is a really hard part of this whole process.
how amazing to see them home after following the journey. What a great family. Let the fun begin!
Glad to see that you are home safely. Best wishes to you guys as you adjust to your new schedule.
OMG I can’t get over how cute they are! How can you get anything done? I’d just be staring at them all day long and soaking in their cuteness!!!!
I’m glad you made it home safe, hopefully you’ll get them settled into a sleep schedule soon.
How wonderful!!!! I’m so happy for you! Yes, it’s painful getting them on a sleep schedule. Polly had a hard time. We think we have adjustments with world travel. I think they have it harder because they don’t know really what has happened. Hang in there!!!!!!!
Love you all.
I’m so happy that you are home. The kids are adorable.
Don’t worry so much about keeping up on the blogs- it gets hopeless after a while! At least it has for me.
Your little ones are adorable-thanks for letting us follow your journey.
YAYA! Your babies are HOME.
I feel you on the bottles–seems like all I ever do is wash those things and we just have one kiddo.
They are so very sweet!
Welcome home! Such sweet pictures!
Welcome home! I loved following your trip!
Wow, it is amazing to see pictures of you guys at home! Congratulations, they are beautiful and look like so much fun!
Hi Carissa – congrats on the new family! So happy for all of you! Maybe w’ell be able to meet up sometime when I’m in Bton to visit my mom?
Welcome Home Family. Welcome Home!!!
Ok I stole Ty P’s line from EHM, but what could be more fitting. The babes are beautiful! Can’t wait to meet them. Love to all!
Sweet, sweet babies…
Oh I am so happy to see that you are home safe and sound! Eventually sleep schedules will appear…it is just one of the hardest things to figure out. What were you feeding the kiddos in that last pic? So funny! They are such beautiful babes, congratulations!
yay!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love all of your pictures, your babies are so precious.
It took Elia a good 6 months to really get on a good sleep schedule…I can’t imagine with two! ugh!
The best thing I did was put her in the mai tai and carry her around- she loved it and it relaxed her enough to fall asleep-otehrwise she’d get overtired and overactive and not be able to sleep. Elia also really likes Vietnamese music and that made her feel comfortable from the beginning.
I have a box of clothing for you. I don’t know if you need it but there are quite a few Gymboree dresses in 6-12 month size and some one piece pants outfits and a couple of sweatshirts.
Cute stuff, Elia hardly wore most of it! She was too tiny for most of it for sooooo long and then all of the sudden she shot up and skipped a size.
Anyway welcome home and enjoy every single minute of this crazy beginning! The babies will change so fast – take lots of pics of them at this stage!
CONGRATS! How exciting. Wow, it finally happened – soooo wonderful. Enjoy every minute. Want to see you all very soon.
Welcome home (a little late)! Oh my gosh are they cute!!!! More pictures, please!!!!
